Lisa Tippings

Lisa Tippings teaches English Language, History and Religious Studies.

Lisa is a trustee of BEST and is our longest standing tutor. She has over 20 years school-teaching experience including roles as Assistant Head of English, Head of Media and teacher in charge of the library. In addition, she has 7 years experience as the National Association of English Teachers’ Welsh Representative, which included presenting seminars at national conferences. She has a book on the Welsh Suffrage Movement being published at the end of the year and has had articles published in a variety of national magazines..

Lisa has been working with home educators since 2014. She has a passion for what she teaches, enabling her to deliver engaging, enjoyable classes and encouraging her students to have a love of learning.

Her qualifications are:

  • BA Hons English, University of Aberystwyth
  • PGCE in English and Drama, Warwick University
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Humanities, Open University
  • MA in English Literature, Open University
  • Currently completing an MA in Creative Writing, Swansea University
